CONTENT EDITOR

Key requirements

To continuously monitor and respond to what the market and industry wants/needs and deliver content in multiple formats across different platforms that the market wants/needs. To collaborate with colleagues to maximise the revenue and profit to the business.

Key responsibilities

You are responsible for all content published across all platforms in your area of specialisation. This requires a multimedia approach with data-led mindset, and intimate understanding of the collecting hobby and industry.

To create, commission and edit content in your area of specialisation to a publication-ready state to the standards expected by your audience on that particular platform, which could be all or any of the following

  • Video and livestream
  • Photography
  • Print (magazines, supplements, annuals, one-offs, etc)
  • Digital magazines, including supplements, annuals, one-offs, etc
  • Social media
  • Website
  • Newsletters
  • Seminars
  • Webinars
  • Podcasts
  • Future platforms as yet unknown

To meet the KPIs agreed with your manager.

To use analytical tools (Google, Dotdigital, YouTube Analytics, sales data, etc), in-house reports, and communication with hobbyists and industry leaders to make data-led decisions.

To identify your own skill gaps and identify a pathway to close any gaps.
