Bristle is built for its members, bundling tutorials, masterclasses, practical advice, guides and interviews together in one place, alongside space for members to share their own work and talk to other artists.
Membership is aimed at anyone from beginners to artists who’ve been painting for decades. The growing content library covers different mediums and techniques, so members can dip into whatever’s relevant to them, whether that’s picking up a paintbrush for the first time or looking to try something new after years of experience.
Beyond the tutorials, Bristle also gives members a way to get feedback and exposure for their work, sharing it with a wider community of other artists rather than just posting it online and hoping someone notices.
The name change comes as part of a wider refresh, with the site describing it as an evolution of Painters’ Online rather than a break from it, keeping the same audience and purpose but with a more modern approach to how members engage day to day.
