The data highlights Norfolk’s continued popularity with motorhomers, campervanners and families choosing to holiday domestically, even as other regions of the UK see slower growth. With its scenic coastline, peaceful waterways and network of motorhome-friendly campsites, Norfolk has become a natural choice for domestic holidays.
The rise in motorhome and campervan travel is also helping this, supporting local businesses and extending the visitor season beyond the traditional summer peak. Sally Dodds, Head of Events at Out and About Live added: “Norfolk continues to buck the national trend.
“A near 40% surge in interest shows just how strongly people feel about holidaying here. This show is our way of celebrating that, a summer weekender built around outdoor living, entertainment and the freedom of life on the road.”
In July, the county will take centre stage as thousands of visitors head to the Norfolk Motorhome & Campervan Show, returning to the Norfolk Showground from 17th to 19th July 2026 for the UK’s ultimate outdoor leisure summer party.
The event brings together hundreds of new and pre-owned motorhomes and campervans, a huge range of outdoor leisure retailers, live daytime entertainment in the Big Top, cooking demos, expert talks and hands-on sessions in the Live Theatre and Advice Centre. Campers staying for the weekend can also enjoy four nights of entertainment, from live bands to family-friendly activities and themed nights.
